I am a Chicago-based graphic designer who began my career in the newspaper industry and quickly developed as a freelance designer working in small design studios and advertising agencies. Combining a foundation in print design with a practical approach to project management I incorporate a clean design aesthetic to produce a range of marketing communications that include newsletters, annual reports, magazines, brochures, identity systems, direct mail campaigns and web graphics. For eight years I served as senior designer at the American Marketing Association where I produced national magazines and academic journals. Currently I manage a freelance business collaborating with clients in the healthcare community, retail marketing, small business and the arts. Recognition for my past work includes an Award of Superior Achievement from Illinois State Historical Society, The New York Public Library Best Reader for Teenage Years Award, Golden Page Awards from Emerald Group Publishing for academic and professional magazine design, and Gold and Bronze Aster Awards honoring Excellence in Medical Marketing. Thriving in groups that inspire and challenge I welcome the opportunity to share my creative abilities whenever possible.
